I was surprised to see it indicate in MediaTester, a mere 4MB/sec write rate and a projected ~8.5 days to test the entire capacity, using the same approach and SATA/USB adapter as had completed a 1TB Toshiba in ~1.2 days. Recently, to replace the counterfeit SSDs purchased earlier, I acquired from an eBay seller a new internal 1TB WD 2.5" hard drive WD10JUCT. Pay new 2TB price, and you probably get a used old small drive that was intended to be recycled, but not like this. Just an ordinary web search for the title of this post. I suspect that some of the retailers know what is counterfeit or otherwise bad, and others do not, their buyers having been fooled. Quite a lot of it qualifies as criminal activity, in my opinion. Probably many of them are sociopaths incapable of feeling. Just to be clear, it's the creators and purveyors of this junk that ought be feeling shame.
